The Committee has been hard at work updating key documents for the 2024/25 Softball Season. Please find updated versions below of:

• Competition Rules

  • Summary of changes 

    • Rule 2.8: added to broaden the scope of what the Committee can do in relation to fees in cases of financial hardship. 

    • Rule 2.15: teams are now required to have a minimum of 50% non-male players at registration. This rule is designed to maintain the league's gender diversity and to assist teams from the time of registration in meeting the longstanding gender balance rules about fielding and batting (now contained in rules 5.3 and 5.4).

    • Rule 3.2: provides that the structure of the finals will be published at the start of the season. This is in response to feedback received at the AGM.

    • Added more objective rules about ending games (rules 4.4-4.45 and 10.5-10.7).

    • Revised and incorporated the "dispute process" on the website into the Competition Rules (at Parts 6 and 11).

    • Added references to the codes of conduct to Part 11. ​
